A day trip to Doi Inthanon
Located roughly 70 km from the city center, be prepared to touch the sky at Doi Inthanon. At a towering 2,565 metres above sea level, Doi Inthanon is the tallest mountain in all of Thailand. If you travel to Doi Inthanon in early January, you will be blessed with cherry blossom season. You’ll find yourself surrounded by the most stunning display of cherry blossoms of Thailand ‘Nang Phaya Sua Kroang. However, you will need to plan accordingly as the full bloom only lasts two weeks!
The mossy forest at the Ang Ka Luang Nature Trail: A stroll along a certain wooden bridge will lead you to the mossy forests at Ang Ka Luang Nature Trail. Many visitors describe it as “walking into a fairy-tale.” Mossy forests cannot be found anywhere else in Thailand. In the mornings, the weather is cool, and fog envelops the forest.
